Nicholas Melillo, the owner of Foundation Cigar Company, introduces the second addition to the Tabernacle line, featuring the rare Connecticut U.S. tobacco in the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142 Cigars. This unique tobacco comes from a specially cultivated Habano seed. Since 2014, Melillo has collaborated with select farmers in the Connecticut Valley to improve the health of the plants while preserving the exceptional flavor of the seeds.
Melillo highlighted the extensive fermentation process, noting that the tobacco was cured in Nicaragua for about three years under the vigilant supervision of both himself and Abdel Fernandez. Beneath the rich Havana Seed #142 wrapper, the blend includes a San Andres Mexican binder and a mix of filler tobaccos from Nicaragua’s Estelí and Jalapa regions, as well as the Jamastran region in Honduras. These cigars are crafted at the esteemed Tabacalera Fernandez factory owned by AJ Fernandez. The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142 offers a rich, moderately spiced profile, delivering a well-rounded, sophisticated smoking experience that is sure to impress.
