The Best Cigar We Smoked for February (That Didn't Make it into Your Packs) | My Cigar Pack

The Ones That Almost Made the Cut

Every month, a lot of cigars get smoked behind the scenes while the packs are being curated at My Cigar Pack. Only five make it into each pack, which means some absolute bangers get left on the cutting room floor. This series exists for exactly that reason: to spotlight the cigars that didn’t land in your packs, but absolutely deserve your attention.

Think of this as the after-hours list. The “you should really try this” list.

House Favorite, No Apologies

Before getting to the top spot, there are two honorable mentions, and yes, one of them comes from the house.

Mysterious Tiger is a My Cigar Pack exclusive, made by Aventura Cigars. It earns its place here on merit alone. Sweet caramel aromas, a chewy profile, and an easygoing balance make it a cigar that keeps finding its way back into rotation. It wasn’t made special because it’s an MCP cigar. It became an MCP cigar because it was special.

There are still a few floating around, and with Volume 2 already teased on Instagram, this chapter of the Tiger story won’t stay open forever.

Kyle Gellis Doing Kyle Gellis Things

The second honorable mention comes from Warped Cigars, specifically the Gran Reserva 1988. Anyone who’s been paying attention to Kyle Gellis’ work already knows the deal. This cigar has depth, polish, and that unmistakable Warped signature, refined but never boring.

It’s the kind of cigar that quietly racks up awards and then keeps getting better with time. If it feels familiar on “best of” lists, that’s because it belongs there.

The One That Stole the Month

Now for the main event.

The standout cigar for February, the one that edged out everything else smoked during the month, is the Andalusian Bull Lonsdale from La Flor Dominicana.

Same legendary blend. Different attitude.

This thinner ring gauge brings a sharper, more focused expression of the blend. It highlights why so many cigar nerds gravitate toward coronas and Lonsdales: fewer leaves, tighter concentration, clearer flavor translation. The result is a long, elegant smoke that never rushes and never drags.

Expect pepper up front, earthy depth through the core, nutty undertones, and leather on the retrohale. It’s balanced, confident, and deeply satisfying, one of those cigars that makes the outside world fade into the background for a solid hour.

Unfortunately, it’s not widely available right now. Fortunately, when it does show up again, it comes with full endorsement. Some might even argue it outshines the original vitola. Thin ring gauge fans already know why.

Why This Series Exists

Not every great cigar fits into a monthly pack. Availability, timing, and logistics matter. But enjoyment matters too, and that’s what this series is about.

Some months, the best cigar smoked won’t be in your box. That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be on your radar.

This one absolutely should.

Two fingers up, ash wherever it falls, and pants entirely optional.
